Colours

Colors
Whenever we hear the word color, the first image that creeps into our mind is the vibrant eye-catching detail it brings along. Just looking at a host of colors brings us feelings of joy, happiness and joie de vivre. And believe it or not there are more than a million colors that a human eye can see and distinguish.
Colors have their own meaning too, like white is associated with purity or angels. While black to evil. Red is associated with passion, green with envy, yellow with fear. Green is now days associated with a push for a greener environment. On food articles we see a green dot or red dot – to signify the product composition. Holi is a festival associated with colors. After the festival, we see lots of people walking around in different hues of colors- we know they had a hell of a time with colors.
How important is color to us, we could almost affirm that it brings meaning to our vision. God made this world so colorful. Imagine going to tropical regions, the greenery just fills us with peace and tranquility. While a visit to the beach, the blueness of the ocean captures our soul. Or even a visit to an iron ore the redness of the soil fills the entire space and the vehicles that travel in that region is all red in color.
We have road signs on our road to control traffic and provide safe driving. These are made up of different colors to signify its meaning and importance. Red is for stop, the reason red is used as a stop sign is because it has the highest visibility. We have studied that white light is made up of seven colors, ‘vibgyor’. During schooling days am sure we remember the science experiment with these seven colors on a wheel when rotated it looks white, would have taken us all by surprise.
Colors are food for the soul. Being in a pensive mood, just visiting the nearest garden or during holidays traveling to famous locales like the Himalayas literally washes away our pains. Just imagine seeing things in black and white like the good old Charlie Chaplin movies, and now imagine if they were in color. We have heard of old black and white movies being made into color to enhance our viewing.
Colors are food for the soul, by the creator to enjoy and enhance our life. We should always to thankful to God for such beautiful colorful creation and the ability to enjoy it.
